F.A.Q.s

1. Q. Why should I have a professional write my Resume?
  A. A professional resume writer knows what it takes to get you an interview. Landing a job is 70% presentation and 30% actual skills and abilities. Often the candidate who gets the job is not always the most qualified; rather, the candidate with the best presentation is who gets hired. Busy hiring professionals quickly review thousands of resumes. The few that survive the initial 10-15 second screening process are then subjected to even more careful scrutiny before more time is invested in an interview.

2.

Q. Why doesn't your website provide sample resumes?

  A. Successful resumes are unique and tailored to the individual. While we can all learn from examples, we believe that each resume has to be as unique as the person it represents. We steer away from the clichéd resume phrases you'll find on "canned"  resumes. We also know that hiring executives are quite aware of cut-and-paste resumes. Simply put, you don't want your resume to look and read the same as all the others. It must stand out and represent you.

3. Q. How long will it take to write my resume?
  A. Normally a proof will be ready for review within 48 hours. Sometimes special situations arise and a resume may take slightly longer.

4. Q. What is your free Lifetime Update Service?
  A. Once a resume has been written and approved, we will maintain a copy of that resume in our files indefinitely at no charge. If you need a copy of your resume, all you pay for are the copies. If you need to make changes, just provide us with the necessary information and you will only be charged for the update service, not another resume. See our Update Service for charges.

5. Q. What if I don't live in Indianapolis or can't come into the office to pick-up a data sheet?
  A. No problem. We have clients in all 50 states who continue to take advantage of our services. Simply contact us either by email or phone to get the ball rolling. We can email, fax or mail our data sheet anywhere you would like and will prepare your resume as soon as we receive it back. Your final proof can be handled the same way to ensure it is written exactly as you desire. Depending on the package selected, any electronic copies will be forwarded and paper copies will be mailed to you USPS.

6. Q. How will you gather the information to write my resume?
  A. We have developed a highly refined data sheet with questions designed to solicit the information we will need to write your resume. We use that information along with our database of job skill sets and requirements to further refine your background and achievements. The information is then reviewed and if need be, a consultant will contact you with very specific questions to finalize your resume.
